I like to try different recipes in my spare time.  I have a collection of over 35 cook books and I like to browse through them when I have some time.  Initially, I used to follow the recipe instructions word by word.  Now, I add my own touch to the recipe by tweaking the recipe and altering a spice or two.  I am told that I am a good cook so I know I am doing something right!  My favorite recipes are the ones handed down by my grandmother as there is always an anecdote behind each recipe.

I started reading at an early age and that was my first attempt at seeing the world. I have read a wide variety
of authors from the serious to the funny ones.  I have read the classics and the books written by the contemporary authors.
Some of my favorites are "I can't accept not trying" by Michael Jordan, "Gone with the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell,
"Sein Language", by Jerry Seinfield, and classics written by Somerset W. Maugham.  I have his entire collection including his biography.  I have also read all of John Grisham's books and am waiting his latest to appear as a paperback.  My last book
was "Elizabeth".  I believe the book helped me to understand the movie better.
